Make a simple fruit tray special by serving the fruit with SpongeBob’s pineapple house! Not only is it a healthy snack, but it also makes a great centerpiece for your party table.
First, slice the bottom from of a whole pineapple, (about 1/4”) making a smooth horizontal cut so it is stable standing up by itself. Then, cut your child’s favorite fruits into bite-size chunks, making some thin and some thick. Use the pieces of fruit to make a door, windows, chimney, etc. Use toothpicks to attach them to the house. Place the pineapple in the center of the platter and arrange all the fruit pieces around the outside.
If you're feeling more ambitious, use the pieces of fruit and additional toothpicks to make some the lovable characters in Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob's underwater city. Try creating his simple starfish buddy Patrick, his sour next-door-neighbor Squidward (an octopus), or his thrill-seeking surfer-girl squirrel pal, Sandy Cheeks.
