Inviting one of SpongeBob’s best friends to the party is easy with this fun cake!
Simply purchase your child's favorite flavor of cake mix. Follow package instructions to prepare and bake in two round cake pans. When cool, leave one layer whole and cut the second layer into five equal sections (like cutting a pie). These pieces will become Patrick's starfish legs. Place the first layer in the center of a large piece of cardboard covered with foil. Trim the curved edges of the starfish legs, so that they fit snugly against the round edge of the body piece. Arrange the legs neatly around the body of the starfish and attach with icing. Frost with red or pink icing. Draw on Patrick's eyes, nose, etc. Decorate with colored sprinkles while the icing is still moist to give Patrick a spiny texture. For fun, spread blue frosting on the tray to make it look like Patrick is in the water.
